The Cheapest Way to Eat at a Sub Shop
None of this needs a promotion to be running. These work on any visit.
The order
A cold sub at regular size, ordered Mike's Way, with a pickle spear instead of chips and tap water instead of a fountain drink.
That gets you the most filling and the most flavour for the least money, and it is roughly $5.50 below the same sub ordered as a combo.
The two things inflating your bill
Drinks and sides. Together they add around $5.50 and are the easiest things to remove. A fountain drink is good value with free refills if you are eating in, and poor value if you are collecting.
Delivery. App menu prices sit 15 to 25% above in-shop before fees. Collection through the shop's own app avoids all of it.
Where sharing beats ordering
Two people splitting a giant get more filling each than two regulars, for less total. Above three people, catering boxes priced per head undercut individual subs and bundle the sides.
