Is the Giant Sub Worth It?
The giant is roughly double a regular in price for about double the length — but built with proportionally more filling, which is where the value comes from.
Split between two
Each person gets more filling than they would from a regular, for less than two regulars would cost. It is the clearest value play available and it needs no promotion.
Eaten alone across two sittings
The economics still work but the food does not. The roll softens in the fridge, dressed vegetables weep into the bread, and the second half is a noticeably worse sandwich.
If you are going this route, ask for the dressing on the side and add it to each half as you eat.
Where it stops making sense
Above three people. At that point catering boxes priced per head undercut giants and arrive with sides included.
Frequently asked
How big is a giant?
Around fourteen inches, roughly double a regular.
Does it cost double?
Approximately, but with proportionally more filling — which is why splitting it beats two regulars.
How long does half a giant keep?
It is edible the next day but noticeably degraded. Dressing on the side helps considerably.
